Senior Public Affairs Officer – Active TS/SCI

ENS Solutions, LLC is hiring a Senior Public Affairs Officer with an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance in Springfield, Fairfax County. This is a full-time position leading strategic communications and public relations initiatives.

About the Role

As Senior Public Affairs Officer, you'll shape how our organization communicates with the public, media, and key stakeholders. You'll report directly to senior leadership, providing strategic counsel on messaging, reputation, and public engagement in a security-conscious environment. Your expertise will guide our approach to sensitive announcements, media interactions, and stakeholder relations while maintaining strict adherence to classification and information-handling protocols.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives and security requirements
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry analysts; prepare leadership for interviews and public appearances
• Craft compelling messaging and content across multiple channels—press releases, web copy, talking points, and briefing materials
• Lead response to communications challenges and negative coverage; develop proactive crisis communication plans
• Coordinate internal communications to ensure consistent, accurate messaging to employees and stakeholders
• Monitor public perception and media coverage; provide leadership with strategic recommendations based on trends and stakeholder feedback
• Manage special projects and events that strengthen organizational reputation and visibility

What We're Looking For

• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance—required
• 7+ years of progressive public affairs, communications, or public relations experience, ideally in defense, government, or federal contracting sectors
• Proven track record advising senior executives and managing complex, high-stakes communications
• Exceptional writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of media relations, news cycles, and strategic messaging
• Knowledge of classification standards, information security, and sensitive communications handling
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, political science, or related field
