Junior Public Affairs Officer – Active TS/SCI

ENS Solutions, LLC is hiring a Junior Public Affairs Officer with an Active TS/SCI security clearance to join our communications team in Springfield, Fairfax County. This is a full-time opportunity to develop practical experience in public affairs, government communications, and stakeholder engagement while working alongside seasoned communications professionals.

About the Role

As a Junior Public Affairs Officer, you'll support the full spectrum of public affairs operations at ENS Solutions, contributing to strategic communication initiatives that advance organizational objectives. Working within our public affairs function, you'll gain foundational expertise in media relations, communications strategy, and public engagement—skills essential for a successful career in this dynamic field.

What You'll Do

• Monitor media coverage and track industry developments relevant to organizational communications priorities
• Assist in developing and distributing communications content, including press releases, fact sheets, talking points, and social media materials
• Coordinate planning and logistics for public events, community engagement activities, and stakeholder communications programs
• Support the maintenance of stakeholder databases and communication distribution lists
• Draft correspondence, background materials, and supporting documentation for senior communications staff
• Conduct research on policy developments, communications trends, and public affairs best practices
• Provide administrative support to public affairs team members on assigned projects and initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (required to start)
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a closely related field
• Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional verbal communication abilities and interpersonal skills
• Self-directed approach to work with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Demonstrated organizational skills and experience coordinating projects or activities
• Comfortable working with social media platforms and digital communications channels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Genuine interest in public affairs, government communications, or policy
