PT Stock Associate – Asheville Tanger Outlets – West Elm

Williams-Sonoma is hiring a Part-Time Stock Associate to join our team at the Asheville Tanger Outlets location in West Asheville, Buncombe County. In this hands-on role, you'll be essential to keeping our stockroom organized, inventory accurate, and our sales floor fully stocked with the home goods our customers love.

The Opportunity

As a Stock Associate, you're the backbone of our retail operations. This part-time position offers the chance to develop valuable retail and inventory management skills while working alongside a collaborative team. You'll take pride in maintaining the efficiency and organization that keeps our store running smoothly, and your work directly impacts the shopping experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

Core Duties

• Receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly logged into our system
• Maintain detailed inventory records to ensure stock accuracy across the stockroom and off-site storage locations
• Keep the stockroom organized, clean, and efficiently arranged for easy access and smooth merchandise flow
• Replenish the sales floor with merchandise following shipment arrivals and during busy shopping periods
• Support the sales team by restocking displays and maintaining adequate product availability throughout the store
• Be available for early morning truck deliveries, typically at 8:00 a.m.
• Uphold Williams-Sonoma's commitment to excellent customer service in all interactions with team members and customers

Requirements

• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts, including early morning delivery windows
• Physical capability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when tracking inventory and processing shipments
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members
• Willingness to follow procedures and contribute to a well-organized stockroom environment
• Basic math skills for inventory calculations and stock counts
