About the Role

As a Project Architect specializing in the education market, you'll drive the vision and direction of educational facility design projects from conception through completion. DLR Group's Orlando office is seeking an experienced architect to support the growing education sector practice, bringing strategic expertise to complex campus and institutional building initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Lead architectural design development for education sector projects, including K-12 schools, universities, and specialized learning facilities
• Develop project concepts, design strategies, and feasibility studies that align with client goals and educational best practices
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—engineers, consultants, and stakeholders—to deliver integrated design solutions
• Prepare design documentation, presentations, and construction drawings that communicate design vision to clients and construction partners
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to the professional growth of team members
• Build and nurture client relationships within the education market and support business development efforts

What We're Looking For

• Licensed architect with demonstrated experience in project delivery and design leadership
• Professional portfolio showcasing education sector work (schools, universities, training facilities, or similar institutional buildings)
• Strong project management and architectural design capabilities
• Proficiency with BIM software and standard architectural design tools
• Knowledge of educational facility standards, building codes, and sustainable design practices
• Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills
• Collaborative approach and ability to thrive in multidisciplinary team environments
