About This Position
We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D and equipment design team at Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS). As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and implementing advanced thermal vacuum equipment and research machinery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end design, integration, and implementation of advanced thermal vacuum equipment and R&D machinery
- Drive the development of innovative architecture while maintaining procedural discipline for high-performance hardware
- Solve complex thermal-mechanical problems in vacuum environments
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a technical expert with experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in the design of advanced thermal vacuum equipment. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
