What This Role Involves

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead mechanical design project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. This role involves leading the project team through all phases of the design process.

Core Duties

  • Lead mechanical design project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure all designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality policies.
  • Develop project schedules and budgets in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, electrical engineers, civil engineers, and construction managers to ensure integrated design solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the design of complex projects such as power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices, including HVAC, plumbing, and other relevant systems.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other related tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead project teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
