About the Role
You'll play a key role in our finishing operations, transforming raw aluminum and steel parts into durable, precision-coated products. Working across our 1st and 2nd shift schedules, you'll master the art and science of powder coating—from surface treatment through final quality verification.
What You'll Do
- Prepare component surfaces through cleaning, degreasing, and abrasive treatment to meet coating adhesion standards
- Set up, calibrate, and operate powder coating spray systems and electrostatic equipment
- Apply powder coatings to aluminum and steel parts with precision and consistency
- Monitor curing ovens and manage cure times to specification
- Perform quality control inspections, measuring coating thickness and identifying defects
- Maintain and troubleshoot powder coating equipment to ensure reliable operation
- Clean and organize work areas, manage powder handling safely, and comply with all safety protocols
- Document production runs and maintain accurate records
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in powder coating application or a related finishing process
- Proficiency with powder spray equipment and electrostatic systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle coating materials safely
- Reliability and flexibility to work assigned shift schedules
- Valid driver's license preferred
