About the Role

The Police Officer works within the district’s security department to maintain a secure atmosphere on campus grounds, deter threats, and respond swiftly to any safety concerns that arise during school hours or extracurricular events.

What You'll Do

• Patrol school buildings, parking lots, and perimeter areas to monitor for suspicious activity.
• Control access points, verify visitor identities, and enforce district safety policies.
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or medical incidents, providing first aid and coordinating with local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct investigations of incidents, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports for district administration.
• Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and community outreach programs to promote awareness.
• Maintain equipment, ensure proper use of protective gear, and stay current with departmental procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Completion of a certified police academy program or equivalent law enforcement training.
• Valid state law enforcement certification and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• Effective communication abilities for interacting with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Physical fitness sufficient to perform patrol duties and respond to urgent situations.
