Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations to identify mobility limitations, strength deficits, and functional goals
• Design and update individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on assessment findings and progress data
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, gait training, and modalities to promote recovery
• Document clinical notes, track outcomes, and maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation colleagues to coordinate seamless patient care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques
• Monitor response to therapy and adjust interventions to achieve optimal functional results

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent physical therapy degree from an accredited program
• Current, unrestricted physical therapy license valid for practice in New York State
• Strong clinical skills in evaluation, plan development, and hands-on treatment techniques
• Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
