Physical Therapist

BAYADA Home Health Care seeks a full-time Physical Therapist in Bon Air, VA 23235 to deliver in-home rehabilitative visits supporting adult and geriatric clients across Richmond-area territories who aim to maintain independence in their own residences.

Role Overview

This Physical Therapist position places you on a multi-disciplinary care team that brings skilled rehabilitative services and nursing support directly to patients at home through the senior living office. You help adults and older adults receive needed treatment on a per-visit basis so they can remain safely and comfortably in familiar surroundings rather than relocating for care. Success depends on independent judgment, clear communication with colleagues, and a genuine focus on restoring function and quality of life for every client you serve near Bon Air, VA 23235 and the broader Richmond region.

Core Duties

• Travel to client residences within assigned geographic territories to deliver physical therapy services.
• Complete thorough evaluations measuring joint mobility and range, transfer abilities, stability, walking patterns and appearance, muscle strength and endurance, balance, and home safety risks.
• Apply evidence-based integumentary protections and topical agents that shield skin integrity and accelerate wound recovery.
• Design and execute personalized treatment plans featuring hands-on therapeutic exercise, gait practice, balance work, and related interventions.
• Reassess and update the physical therapy plan of care continuously while collaborating with nursing colleagues on the broader multi-disciplinary plan.
• Teach clients, family members, and other caregivers the rehabilitative techniques and daily activities that foster health, safety, and greater independence.
• Document observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately on a modern touch-pad tablet so every service remains clearly recorded.

Who We're Looking For

• Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Graduation from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, verified by transcript or diploma.
• Proven ability to work independently while organizing visits and managing time effectively across a busy caseload.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities that support complex home-care situations.
• Comfortable computer literacy; previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred for seamless documentation.
