Phlebotomist

Labcorp is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist for our Patient Service Center in Midlothian, Chesterfield County, Virginia. Join our clinical team and play a vital role in delivering diagnostic testing services to our patients.

About the Role

As a Phlebotomist at our Midlothian PSC, you'll collect blood samples from patients in a clinical setting, ensuring accurate specimen preparation and safe handling for laboratory analysis. You'll be a key part of our patient care experience, working directly with individuals to make their visits smooth and professional.

What You'll Do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures to collect blood specimens
• Verify patient identity and confirm test orders before collection
• Prepare, label, and process specimens according to laboratory protocols
• Apply proper bloodborne pathogen safety and infection control practices
• Document specimen information accurately in our laboratory system
• Communicate clearly with patients, addressing concerns and ensuring cooperation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment

What We're Looking For

• Current phlebotomy certification or eligibility to obtain certification in Virginia
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to specimen accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling procedures
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating Saturday shifts as operational needs require.
