About the Role
The Philanthropy Manager (Leadership Giving) at Cancer Research UK is a full-time position based in Stratford, East London. This role reports to the Senior Philanthropy Manager and is part of the Strategy & Philanthropy Directorate. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership giving and be passionate about supporting worthy causes.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategies for securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations
- Build and maintain relationships with key donors to ensure ongoing support and engagement
- Contribute to the overall fundraising strategy of the organization
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors
- Provide regular reports on progress and donor interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in leadership giving or similar roles within the non-profit sector
- Strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record of securing major gifts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- A deep understanding of the cancer research landscape and the ability to articulate the impact of donations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
