SAP S/4HANA Finance Senior Consultant

DXC Technology is hiring a SAP S/4HANA Finance Senior Consultant to help deliver enterprise-scale SAP transformation programmes for global organisations. This UK-based, full-time role is home/remote with occasional client travel and requires eligibility for BPSS security clearance (sole UK nationals).

About the Role

As a SAP S/4HANA Finance Senior Consultant at DXC Technology, you will sit at the centre of complex finance implementations, pairing deep functional knowledge with hands-on configuration to build compliant, efficient, and fully integrated financial operations. Partnering with finance leaders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams, you will turn business requirements into resilient S/4HANA designs that connect smoothly with Procurement, Sales, Projects, and HR/Payroll, advising clients from blueprint through to post-go-live stabilisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate finance workshops to gather requirements and shape S/4HANA solution designs.
• Configure SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• Help design financial close, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
• Ensure end-to-end integration across MM (P2P), SD (OTC), PS (Projects), and HCM (Payroll).
• Author high-quality functional specifications for WRICEF developments.
• Assist finance data migration of open items, balances, and fixed assets, validating through mock cycles.
• Contribute to SIT, UAT, regression testing, and cutover rehearsals.
• Deliver post-go-live support and lead knowledge transfer to client finance teams.
• Produce clear deliverables such as process maps, test scripts, and training materials.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on delivery experience across SAP S/4HANA Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking).
• Sound grasp of IFRS/GAAP, tax configuration, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with financial close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Proven integration knowledge spanning Procurement, Sales, Payroll, and Projects.
• Skilled at producing blueprints, functional specs, and testing artefacts.
• Confident facilitator with excellent stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance (1909 or later), SAP Fiori, SAP Activate, Solution Manager, JIRA, qTest, and ideally SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or IT; SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting certification and ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualifications are advantageous.
