As a Payments Risk Analyst II on our Risk & Fraud team within the Consumer & Business group, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's financial integrity while enhancing user experience. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals eager to work with a dynamic, high-impact team that values collaboration and continuous improvement.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Owning end-to-end risk controls for ACH payments and scaling fraud prevention processes in line with business expansion.
- Detecting and mitigating fraudulent deposit activity by implementing targeted logic against bad actors and high-risk behavior.
- Conducting quantitative analysis of fraud performance, measuring rule precision and recall, assessing financial impact, and presenting clear data-backed recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Data Science, Risk ML, and Engineering teams to develop and iterate on risk controls and fraud prevention systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in payments risk analysis or related fields.
- A strong understanding of fraud detection principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis, including rule precision and recall metrics.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting data-backed recommendations to leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with quarterly in-person "surges."
