Position Summary

As a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide), you'll be an essential part of our healthcare foodservice operations, ensuring patients receive timely meals tailored to their individual dietary needs. Working at Mayo Clinic Phoenix, you'll support both culinary operations and patient care by delivering compassionate, attentive service at mealtimes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Deliver nutritious meals and beverages to patient rooms according to dietary orders
• Accommodate special dietary requests, allergies, and medical restrictions
• Assist patients with meal setup, utensils, and eating support when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in patient dining areas and service zones
• Communicate patient preferences and concerns to kitchen and clinical staff
• Manage inventory and restock dining supplies and service equipment
• Support kitchen operations and prepare meal service areas for timely patient delivery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift items regularly
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Compassion for patient needs and commitment to respectful, dignified service
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety and healthcare protocols
• Reliable attendance and a team-oriented work ethic
