Senior Project Scheduler

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Project Scheduler to join our team in Lonsdale, Knox County. As a full-time project scheduling professional, you'll be central to delivering complex projects on time and within budget for one of the nation's leading engineering and environmental consulting firms.

What You'll Do

• Create, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard software and tools
• Coordinate scheduling with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure realistic timelines and resource allocation
• Identify scheduling risks, float management, and critical path dependencies to prevent delays
• Track schedule performance, forecast completion dates, and communicate status to stakeholders
• Optimize resource planning across multiple concurrent projects to maximize team efficiency
• Mentor junior schedulers and provide scheduling guidance to less experienced team members
• Support bid preparation with scheduling analysis and deliverable timelines

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field
• 5+ years of professional project scheduling experience in engineering, construction, or consulting
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling software
• Strong understanding of earned value management and schedule metrics
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate schedules for different audiences
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement processes, or engineering delivery methods is a plus
