Parts Room Supervisor

Waynefarms is hiring a Parts Room Supervisor for its North Carolina - Dobson Plant location in a full-time capacity. This role provides the chance to oversee parts room activities and support the plant's day-to-day functionality through expert inventory supervision.

What This Role Involves

The Parts Room Supervisor at Waynefarms coordinates the complete lifecycle of spare components and supplies needed to sustain plant activities at the North Carolina - Dobson Plant. The position centers on leadership of stock accuracy, workforce coordination, and reliable parts access so maintenance and production teams can meet their goals without unnecessary delay.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Direct parts room personnel on daily stock organization, counting, and documentation tasks to maintain accurate inventory records
• Authorize and track purchase orders, then process incoming shipments for proper put-away and labeling
• Design and refine storage arrangements that improve retrieval speed and minimize clutter or damage risks
• Perform cycle counts and full audits, then investigate and correct any variances found
• Coach team members on handling procedures, safety rules, and system usage to raise overall room performance
• Work closely with maintenance and operations staff to forecast usage patterns and deliver needed items on schedule
• Enforce cleanliness, security, and safety standards throughout the parts storage areas each shift

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on background supervising inventory control or parts room functions, ideally within a plant setting
• Familiarity with standard inventory tracking practices and related digital tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead, schedule, and develop a small work group
• Effective problem-solving skills for resolving shortages, backorders, or organizational bottlenecks
• High attention to detail paired with the capacity to adapt to changing plant priorities
• Clear verbal and written communication that supports smooth hand-offs with other Waynefarms departments
