About the Role
As an Afterschool Mentor with Firewall Centers, you'll work directly with students in our Broward middle and high school programs. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in students' academic progress and personal development while fostering meaningful connections that help them thrive.
What You'll Do
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with assigned student groups
- Provide academic support and encouragement across subject areas
- Model positive attitudes, behaviors, and problem-solving approaches
- Create an inclusive, motivating atmosphere where students feel valued and supported
- Engage students in activities that build confidence and leadership skills
- Communicate regularly with students and program coordinators about progress and needs
