PAM Architect

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential enterprise technology organization seeking a PAM Architect to define and oversee privileged access management architecture across a global infrastructure estate. This is a retained architecture role where you will set standards and provide design authority for engineering teams and managed service partners.

In this position, you will:

• Design the PAM architecture, controls model, and onboarding patterns for enterprise-wide implementation
• Establish standards for privileged-account discovery, vaulting, and session control
• Assure partner-delivered PAM designs and change requests meet security and resilience requirements
• Embed least-privilege and zero-trust principles throughout the privileged access framework
• Advise the product owner on platform direction and evolution
• Set architecture patterns and guardrails that managed service providers implement and operate within
• Act as design authority and approval gate for partner architecture decisions
• Balance strategic architectural vision with pragmatic, deliverable solutions

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a seasoned PAM architect with deep expertise in privileged access security design:

• Expert-level PAM architecture and privileged-access design experience at enterprise scale
• Expert knowledge of BeyondTrust products and implementation patterns
• Strong understanding of vaulting, session management, and just-in-time access controls
• Security architecture and compliance frameworks knowledge
• Integration design experience across infrastructure and application layers
• Design-authority and technical documentation experience
• Recognised architecture experience in the relevant domain at enterprise scale
• Relevant architecture or platform certifications (e.g., TOGAF or vendor architect tracks)
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to influence engineering and vendor teams without direct authority
• Track record of designing for security, scale, resilience, and total cost of ownership
• Current knowledge of platform evolution and emerging PAM capabilities
