Onsite Substitute Teacher

Learning Grove is hiring a Full Time Onsite Substitute Teacher in Park Hills, Kenton County. You'll support our early childhood education program by stepping into classrooms during staff transitions, ensuring continuity and care for the young children we serve.

The Opportunity

Learning Grove has been a trusted partner in early childhood education throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for more than four decades. We're seeking a dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll fill staffing gaps across our classrooms, working directly with teachers and supporting teams to maintain the warm, engaging learning environments our students depend on. This is an excellent opportunity for someone committed to early childhood development who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being
• Follow lesson plans and classroom routines established by permanent teaching staff
• Support age-appropriate learning through interactive play, educational activities, and hands-on exploration
• Maintain clear communication with lead teachers and administrative staff about student needs and classroom events
• Assist with daily care routines, including meals, transitions, and outdoor play
• Model positive behavior and create an inclusive, nurturing classroom culture

What We're Looking For

• Current CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, or active enrollment in an Early Childhood Education degree program
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and supporting their development
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles
• Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative teamwork
• Reliability and professional demeanor in a dynamic educational setting
