Grade 5

Hillsborough County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Grade 5 Teacher for a full-time position at one of our elementary schools in Plant City, Hillsborough County. What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies

• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, and use data to inform instructional decisions
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and pace of fifth-grade students
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress, strengths, and areas for growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure comprehensive student success
• Maintain consistent attendance and reliable, physical presence in the classroom
• Support and align with the district's mission and vision for educational excellence

What We're Looking For

• Valid Florida teaching certificate or equivalent licensure in elementary education
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Understanding of elementary child development and learning theory
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and families
• Ability to manage a classroom with consistency, care, and professionalism
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, equitable environment for all learners
