About the Role

As an Officer, Data and Policy on the Courts & Communities (Policy Advocacy) team, you will sit within Pew's Government Performance portfolio in Washington, D.C. This on-site role pairs evidence with advocacy, helping decisionmakers adopt practical solutions that improve outcomes for people across the United States and expand opportunities for economic mobility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and apply nonpartisan research to inform policy positions on courts and community-centered initiatives.
• Translate complex data and findings into clear, persuasive materials for policymakers and partners.
• Support policy advocacy efforts that advance Pew's Government Performance goals.
• Collaborate with project teams to shape solutions and build momentum behind evidence-based reforms.
• Contribute to the exploration of new policy areas as the portfolio's work evolves.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, applied research, or policy advocacy, ideally connected to courts, justice systems, or community outcomes.
• Strong skills in working with data and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey nuanced information to varied audiences.
• A nonpartisan, collaborative approach and a commitment to public-interest impact.
• Willingness to work on-site in Washington, D.C.
