Off-Road Vehicle Mechanic

Jean Simpson Personnel Services is hiring an Off‑Road Vehicle Mechanic for a full‑time position based in Risinger Woods, Caddo Parish, serving the Shreveport, LA area.

About the Role

This role focuses on keeping recreational and utility off‑road machines running smoothly and safely. You will work directly with customers and team members to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and tailor vehicles to specific needs.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in ATVs, side‑by‑sides, and utility vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake service, and suspension adjustments
• Repair or replace worn components including engines, transmissions, drivelines, and steering systems
• Customize vehicles per customer requests, adding accessories or performance upgrades
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work meets manufacturer and industry standards
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventories, and repair documentation
• Communicate repair estimates and timelines clearly to clients
• Test drive vehicles after service to verify proper operation
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an off‑road vehicle, powersports, or small engine mechanic
• Solid understanding of gasoline and diesel engines, fuel systems, and electronic controls
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifts
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Capability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) and work in various positions
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a Monday through a full‑time schedule
