North Bay Haven High School Computer Science Teacher 2026-2027 School Year

Bay Haven Charter Academy seeks a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to lead our high school computer science program during the 2026–2027 school year in Callaway, Bay County. This is a full-time position where you'll inspire students to develop problem-solving skills, computational thinking, and digital literacy while supporting their intellectual, emotional, and social growth.

About the Role

As the Computer Science Teacher at Bay Haven Charter Academy in Callaway, Bay County, you will work under the general supervision of the Principal to design and deliver engaging computer science instruction. You'll create learning experiences that equip high school students with the technical and analytical competencies they need to thrive in a technology-driven world.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive computer science curriculum aligned with standards and student learning objectives
• Deliver instruction that fosters critical thinking, algorithmic reasoning, and hands-on coding experience
• Create a supportive classroom environment where all students can build confidence and competence in computer science
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Mentor students in project-based learning, coding challenges, and real-world applications of computer science
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across disciplines and support school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records, communicate with families, and participate in professional development

What We're Looking For

• Valid Florida teaching certification or eligibility in Computer Science education (or equivalent)
• Strong subject-matter knowledge of computer science fundamentals, programming, and applied computing
• Experience teaching high school students and designing engaging, standards-aligned lessons
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to supporting student growth across cognitive, social-emotional, and physical dimensions
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to a charter school community
