About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Officer at PNC, you'll be the trusted advisor customers turn to when purchasing a home. Working in our Canton branch, you'll originate mortgages by meeting with borrowers, understanding their financial goals, and matching them with the right loan products. This full-time position combines relationship building with loan expertise, allowing you to make a direct impact on customers' major life decisions.

What You'll Do

• Consult with prospective homebuyers to understand their financial situation and explain mortgage options
• Gather and verify borrower financial documentation for loan applications
• Assess creditworthiness and property details to determine loan eligibility
• Prepare complete and accurate loan files for processing and underwriting
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and other departments to move loans toward closing
• Maintain compliance with federal and state lending regulations and underwriting guidelines
• Develop relationships with borrowers and real estate professionals to generate business
• Stay current on loan products, market conditions, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• Current or eligible for mortgage loan officer licensing in Ohio
• Understanding of mortgage lending, underwriting standards, and loan origination processes
• Exceptional communication skills and customer service orientation
• Ability to manage multiple applications while meeting deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with financial information
• Professional demeanor and integrity in handling sensitive transactions
• Prior experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services preferred
