About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential government consulting firm seeking a motivated Mid-Level Data Scientist to join their growing analytics department. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that drive digital transformation and customer insights for public sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior data scientists, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to develop custom analytical solutions
- Build and deploy data science models that provide insights into digital user behavior patterns
- Forecast mobile application and website usage trends using statistical and machine learning techniques
- Analyze customer sentiment from app store reviews and feedback channels
- Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Contribute to the development of scalable data pipelines and model deployment processes
What We're Looking For
- 3-7 years of professional experience as a data scientist or in a similar analytical role
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
- Proficiency with Python or R for data analysis and model development
- Experience working with digital analytics data (web, mobile, user behavior)
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; Master's preferred
- Location: Tysons, Fairfax County area (on-site or hybrid arrangement)
