Merchandising Product Owner

The Opportunity

RaceTrac is seeking a strategic Merchandising Product Owner to champion product initiatives that drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction. You'll serve as the bridge between merchandising operations, technology teams, and business stakeholders, translating market opportunities and customer feedback into a compelling product roadmap. Your leadership will ensure our merchandising solutions remain competitive and aligned with company objectives while supporting the day-to-day needs of our store operations and customers.

What You'll Do

• Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for merchandising technologies and initiatives
• Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, operations, and technology teams to identify customer needs and market opportunities
• Develop detailed product requirements and acceptance criteria that guide technical execution
• Prioritize the product backlog based on business impact, customer value, and strategic alignment
• Track and analyze key product metrics to measure success and inform ongoing optimization
• Conduct customer research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product progress across the organization

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management, product ownership, or related strategy roles
• Strong understanding of retail operations or merchandising concepts
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications
• Analytical mindset with comfort working with data to drive decisions
• Experience with product roadmap development and agile methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, or related field preferred
