Position Summary

Under general supervision, performs analyses on a variety of sample types. Maintains proper records and utilizes independent judgement to generate acceptable test results. Responsible for quality, efficiency, and safety in the performance of laboratory functions. Serves as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary team.

Your Responsibilities

• Conducts complex laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other biological samples using advanced equipment and techniques.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation of test results in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensures the quality and accuracy of laboratory procedures through regular calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Participates in team meetings and contributes to the development of new testing protocols and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• License as a Medical Technologist (MT) from the Maryland State Board of Medical Laboratory Scientists.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least one year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Knowledgeable in various laboratory techniques and procedures including but not limited to hematology, microbiology, and immunohematology.
