About the Role
Join our laboratory team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II focused on hematology analysis and testing. This full-time position operates Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM. Eligible external candidates receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance may be considered.
What You'll Do
- Perform and analyze hematology tests utilizing both automated and manual laboratory procedures
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot hematology analyzers and laboratory instruments
- Verify and validate test results against established quality standards and protocols
- Prepare patient samples and specimens for accurate analysis per laboratory standards
- Maintain strict compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Document findings and communicate results with clinical accuracy and precision
- Maintain detailed records of testing procedures and equipment performance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Clinical Laboratory Science
- Professional certification in clinical laboratory science
- Hands-on experience working in a clinical laboratory hematology setting
- Working knowledge of hematology analyzers and laboratory information systems
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in test results
- Ability to work reliably during overnight and weekend shifts
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clinical staff
