Mechanic Technician (I – III) – Baroid Mine

Halliburton is seeking skilled Mechanic Technicians at our Baroid Mine facility across the United States to maintain, repair, and optimize specialized mining and drilling equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This is a full-time position offering hands-on technical work and growth opportunity within the world's leading energy services company.

Role Overview

As a Mechanic Technician at Baroid Mine, you'll be the backbone of our equipment reliability program. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical systems, and execute repairs on drilling and mining machinery that directly impacts operational productivity. This role is structured in three levels—Technician I, II, and III—allowing you to grow your expertise and take on increasingly sophisticated mechanical challenges as you advance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electromechanical equipment used in mining and drilling operations
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure equipment uptime and safety compliance
• Troubleshoot equipment failures using diagnostic tools and technical documentation
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations on the job site
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
• Assist in training junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or mechanical certification preferred
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, or a related trade
• Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to perform hands-on repair work and operate in an industrial environment
