Guzman y Gomez is seeking a Marketing Manager – Local Area Marketing (QLD) to drive brand growth and customer engagement across the Fortitude Valley region. This is a full-time position based in Fortitude Valley, QLD, AU.

About This Position

This role sits at the centre of Guzman y Gomez's regional marketing strategy in Queensland. As Marketing Manager – Local Area Marketing (QLD), you'll develop and execute campaigns that resonate deeply with the Fortitude Valley community whilst supporting broader company goals. You'll partner with store teams, digital platforms, and regional stakeholders to build awareness, drive customer footfall, and strengthen brand loyalty across your territory.

Responsibilities

• Create and launch local area marketing campaigns tailored to Queensland markets, with Fortitude Valley as a core focus
• Work cross-functionally with store managers and regional teams to align marketing activity with on-ground operations
• Manage digital and traditional marketing channels including social media, email, in-store activations, and community partnerships
• Measure campaign performance using analytics and customer insights to optimise messaging and resource allocation
• Cultivate relationships with local media, community leaders, and strategic partners
• Track market competition and identify emerging opportunities within your region
• Lead product launches and seasonal campaigns with localised relevance and execution

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in marketing management, particularly in local or regional campaign delivery
• Solid grounding in digital marketing, social media strategy, and customer engagement platforms
• Strong capability in project management and cross-team communication
• Comfort with data analysis and the ability to translate insights into strategic decisions
• Balance of creative thinking and commercial acumen in campaign development
• Background in retail, hospitality, quick-service restaurant, or consumer-facing industries valued
• Genuine interest in local community building and understanding regional market dynamics
