As Manager of Plumbing & Fire Suppression Services, you'll direct operational and compliance activities for this essential business unit. You'll work with field teams, contractors, and building officials to deliver code-compliant systems that protect New York City properties and occupants.
What You'll Do
- Oversee field inspections mandated by NYC Local Law 152, verifying gas piping systems for code compliance, safety standards, and regulatory adherence
- Ensure all plumbing and fire suppression installations meet New York City building codes and environmental regulations
- Manage project workflows from estimation and scheduling through completion and final inspection approval
- Lead coordination with building owners, contractors, and NYC regulatory agencies including DEP and DOB
- Review technical specifications, permit requirements, and engineering plans for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain safety protocols and quality standards across all crew and project activities
- Build and mentor field and administrative teams to achieve operational excellence
What We're Looking For
- Deep familiarity with NYC Local Law 152 and NYC Department of Buildings regulations for plumbing and fire suppression systems
- Proven experience managing plumbing and/or fire suppression services operations in New York City
- Strong knowledge of gas piping system design, installation, and inspection protocols
- Ability to navigate complex building codes and environmental regulations with confidence
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication skills with building officials, engineers, contractors, and clients
- Problem-solving mindset and capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Valid driver's license and willingness to conduct field inspections
