As an AOD Counselor I, you'll be a core team member in our Stockton-based program, delivering evidence-based counseling and facilitating recovery-focused activities for incarcerated residents.
What You'll Do
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance abuse recovery and relapse prevention
- Assess resident needs and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with therapeutic community principles
- Facilitate peer-led support activities and community meetings within the facility
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Support residents in developing coping strategies and life skills for successful reintegration
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody staff to ensure comprehensive care
