What You'll Do
- Deliver core instruction in Spanish and English across math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Design and implement engaging lessons that build literacy and numeracy skills in both languages
- Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments aligned to state standards
- Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support all learners
- Foster a culturally responsive classroom that celebrates multilingualism and diversity
- Communicate regularly with families in Spanish and English to support student success
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school and district initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Valid Utah teaching license or eligibility for licensure in elementary education
- Demonstrated fluency in Spanish (oral and written)
- Experience teaching elementary students, preferably in a dual language or bilingual setting
- Strong understanding of dual language immersion pedagogy and evidence-based practices
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including ELL and gifted students
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional collaboration and continuous improvement
