CBRE is hiring a Maintenance Technician—Generalist for full-time day-shift work at our Flowes Store facility in Cabarrus County. This hands-on role is perfect for experienced maintenance professionals who enjoy diverse technical work and want to support a busy commercial property.
About the Role
As part of CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services team, you will serve as a maintenance generalist responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and fit-and-finish of small to medium-sized buildings and their complex industrial systems. You'll be the technical backbone of facility operations—diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance to keep everything running reliably.
What You'll Do
- Perform planned preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures across multiple facility systems
- Conduct regular system inspections and document maintenance activities in facility logs
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and tenant requests
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Coordinate with facility supervisors and engineering staff on complex projects
- Test and maintain equipment to prevent downtime and extend asset life
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, maintenance worker, or in a related hands-on technical role
- Broad knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities; ability to work independently and learn quickly
- Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail in all maintenance work
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to work day-shift hours
- Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, or mechanical) a plus; willingness to pursue additional training
