Chemicals Planning Manager FY27

Deloitte's Energy & Chemicals practice is seeking a full-time Chemicals Planning Manager in Stamford, Fairfield County to lead strategic planning transformations and drive value chain optimization for enterprise clients in the downstream chemicals and oil & gas sectors.

About the Role

As a Chemicals Planning Manager, you'll lead high-impact consulting engagements focused on integrated planning, supply chain strategy, and operational performance. You'll work directly with C-suite executives and operational teams to redesign planning processes, improve margins, and unlock competitive advantage across complex chemical production and distribution networks.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end planning transformation initiatives, from current-state assessment through design and implementation
• Develop integrated planning strategies that align demand forecasting, procurement, production scheduling, and inventory optimization
• Analyze operations to identify opportunities for improved working capital, cycle time reduction, and asset utilization
• Facilitate strategic planning workshops with senior stakeholders to define future-state processes and organizational design
• Build financial models and business cases quantifying cost savings and competitive benefits from planning improvements
• Mentor junior consultants and manage client relationships across multi-month, complex engagements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of consulting, operations, or planning management experience within chemicals, refining, or energy industries
• Demonstrated success leading value chain optimization, integrated planning, or supply chain transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen; ability to translate operational complexity into clear strategic recommendations
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
• Experience with planning platforms, ERP systems, or supply chain software (SAP, Oracle, i2, or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or related discipline
• Readiness to travel for client engagements across the Stamford, Fairfield County region and beyond
