About the Role

As Director of Environmental, Health and Safety, you'll lead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive safety programs that safeguard our workforce and operations. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll set the tone for safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor a dedicated team committed to zero-harm principles. You'll partner with operational leaders across the organization to integrate safety into every decision and process.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee environmental, health, and safety policies and programs aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Lead safety investigations, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and near-misses
• Manage compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and occupational health regulations
• Build and mentor a high-performing EHS team to execute safety programs across all facility locations
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify workplace hazards and implement mitigation strategies
• Foster a strong safety culture by engaging employees at all levels through training, communication, and recognition programs
• Report safety metrics and performance to senior leadership and oversee documentation and recordkeeping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental, health, and safety management or related roles
• Proven track record leading EHS programs in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and relevant industry standards
• Leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHST, or equivalent) preferred
