Join Generac Power Systems as a Maintenance Electrician II on our 3rd Shift team in Edgerton, Rock County. This is a full-time position supporting the maintenance and repair of electrical systems at our manufacturing facility, working Sunday through Monday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Electrician II, you'll be a skilled tradesperson responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and control systems on the production floor. You'll work independently and collaboratively to minimize downtime, ensure equipment reliability, and support operational continuity during the critical 3rd shift hours when facility productivity depends on your expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical failures in industrial machinery, motors, generators, and control circuits
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact production
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain wiring, panels, and electrical components to code specifications
  • Test equipment using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools to verify proper function
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs with minimal operational disruption
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and urgent equipment failures during night shift operations

What We're Looking For

  • Current journeyman electrician license or equivalent demonstrated expertise
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems
  • Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliability and flexibility for consistent 3rd shift performance
  • Valid driver's license
