LPN/RN Pediatric Home Health Nurse – Nights

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking a compassionate LPN/RN Pediatric Home Health Nurse for overnight shifts in Wichita, Kansas. Join our team and provide specialized care to pediatric patients and their families in the comfort of their homes.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time nursing position focused on delivering high-quality pediatric home health care during nighttime hours. As a Pediatric Home Health Nurse in Wichita, you'll be an integral part of our mission to support families with skilled nursing services, working with children who require ongoing medical attention. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep relationships with patients and families while making a meaningful impact on their health and quality of life.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric patients' health status and develop individualized care plans based on physician orders
• Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures as directed by the care plan
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition, documenting observations accurately in patient records
• Provide wound care, catheter management, and other skilled nursing interventions
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and home health management
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and case managers
• Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN licensure in Kansas or ability to obtain it
• Experience with pediatric nursing or demonstrated willingness to develop pediatric skills
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on overnight shifts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits in the Wichita area
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
