This is a 13-week local contract assignment supporting a Medical-Surgical floor near Falls Church, Virginia. As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse, you will care for adult patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical needs, working 36 hours each week across 12-hour night shifts. The position pays $38–45 per hour and is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment while staying close to home.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside care to medical-surgical patients during 12-hour overnight shifts.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Coordinate with physicians, charge nurses, and the broader care team to carry out treatment plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families on care, recovery, and discharge planning.
- Uphold patient safety standards and facility protocols throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid for practice in Virginia.
- Experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) specialty setting.
- Comfort working full-time, 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week contract.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and time-management skills.
