Local Contract Interventional Radiology Technologist

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is hiring a Local Contract Interventional Radiology Technologist in Roanoke, Roanoke County for a full-time, 13-week contract position. This is a 40-hour-per-week opportunity working 10-hour day shifts in an active interventional radiology department.

What You'll Do

• Assist interventional radiologists before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and equipment in compliance with infection control standards
• Monitor and operate imaging equipment, positioning devices, and patient monitoring systems
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications under physician direction
• Position patients safely and provide comfort and reassurance throughout procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and exposure minimization
• Document patient information, procedural details, and clinical observations in medical records
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, nursing staff, and support team members

What We're Looking For

• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent state license
• Minimum 6 months of recent interventional radiology technologist experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiation protection, safety standards, and ALARA principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and comfort
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
• Reliable availability for scheduled 10-hour day shifts throughout the contract term
