As a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with Headway, you'll establish a thriving psychiatric practice in Alabama supported by our integrated technology platform. We streamline the business side of healthcare so you can focus on clinical excellence and patient outcomes—managing credentialing, insurance contracting, billing, and compliance while you deliver psychiatric care.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and initial assessments for patients
• Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications with careful monitoring for efficacy and side effects
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and referral sources
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care through regular patient visits and follow-up appointments
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation and compliant patient records
• Accept insurance and process billing through Headway's platform, significantly reducing administrative work

What We're Looking For

• Active, unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Alabama
• Current prescriptive authority in Alabama
• Proven experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing practice
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care
• Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
