About the Role

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Headway, you'll provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients seeking mental health services. What You'll Do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with appropriate monitoring and follow-up care
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation and engage with electronic health record systems
• Manage your own patient caseload and schedule with flexibility to build your practice at your own pace
• Educate patients on medication management, coping strategies, and mental health wellness

What We're Looking For

• Current, active New York State licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent advanced nursing credential
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
• Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance use disorders
• Proficiency with electronic health records and telemedicine platforms
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships with patients
