About the Role
As a Library Assistant, you'll support the essential operations of our library and help patrons access the resources and services they depend on for academic success. What You'll Do
- Manage circulation desk operations, processing checkouts, returns, and material renewals
- Shelve library materials in designated areas and maintain organized collections
- Process incoming materials and maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist patrons with locating resources and conducting database searches
- Support library events, programs, and special initiatives
- Maintain clean, welcoming library spaces and ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Assist with document scanning, copying, and reproduction services
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; library experience or some college coursework preferred
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Computer proficiency and willingness to learn library management software
- Physical capacity to perform shelving, material handling, and related duties
