About the Role
As a Legal Secretary here in New York City, you are the organizational backbone of our practice. You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and practice groups, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional client service. Your role directly contributes to the success of our employment law practice and the satisfaction of our clients across the region.
What You'll Do
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate with clients and opposing counsel
- Draft, format, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, and documents with precision
- Maintain and organize client files, legal records, and case documentation
- Handle phone communications, screen calls, and route matters appropriately
- Prepare billing information and track time entries for attorney productivity
- Process and organize documents for litigation and discovery matters
- Support attorneys with legal research requests and administrative projects
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all established office procedures
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or in law firm administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
