About This Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NZTA's in-house legal team. As a Legal Counsel, you will bring your commercial legal expertise to a purpose-driven organisation where you can make a significant impact.
- Permanent full-time position located in Wellington or Auckland (Te Whiwhinga mahi)
Responsibilities
The role involves:
- Providing legal advice and support to the NZTA team on a wide range of commercial matters.
- Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and agreements.
- Supporting the resolution of disputes and litigation as required.
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- HAVE a relevant law degree from an accredited institution.
- HAVE at least 5 years' experience in commercial legal practice.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
