Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Property Legal Counsel to join our respected property investment and management group in Melbourne. This role involves providing legal advice on commercial property matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting the development of sustainable capital growth strategies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on a wide range of commercial property issues
- Ensure all transactions are in line with legal requirements and company policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal partners
- Contribute to the strategic planning process, focusing on risk management and compliance
- Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements for property-related matters
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial property law
- Strong knowledge of property laws and regulations relevant to the Australian market
- Experience working with property investment and management groups is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- A strong commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality
