As Senior Legal Counsel at StepStone Group, you'll serve as a strategic advisor on our legal and regulatory matters. We're a global private markets specialist delivering tailored investment solutions, advisory services, and data-driven insights to institutional investors worldwide. In this role, you'll protect our business, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our growth across multiple jurisdictions.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on corporate, securities, and regulatory matters affecting our investment platforms
- Develop and oversee compliance programs aligned with SEC, FINRA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks
- Review and negotiate material contracts, investment agreements, and partnership arrangements
- Advise senior leadership on legal risks and strategic business initiatives
- Collaborate across operations, compliance, and fund management to ensure legal alignment
- Monitor evolving regulations in the private markets and investment advisory space
- Support fund formation, investor relations, and operational initiatives
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in a US jurisdiction
