The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Therapist to join our team in Northland, New Zealand. As a Speech Language Therapist with the New Zealand Government, you will play a pivotal role in shaping an education system that delivers equitable and excellent outcomes for all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adults.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs of clients.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Conduct assessments and provide reports on the progress of clients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech therapy.

Skills & Qualifications

• A relevant Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• NZSTA (New Zealand Society of Speech and Hearing) registration is required.
• Prior experience working as a Speech Language Therapist, especially within the education sector, would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
