Leasing Specialist

Join Abode as a full-time Leasing Specialist in our San Francisco SoMa office, where you'll play a vital role in connecting individuals and families experiencing homelessness with safe, stable housing. We are looking for an organized, compassionate professional to lead the leasing process and support residents through move-in and transitions.

About the Role

As a Leasing Specialist at Abode, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents entering our housing programs. Working under the guidance of the Senior Property Manager, you'll manage the full lifecycle of unit transitions—from initial assessments and lease preparation through move-in coordination and ongoing resident support. This is an opportunity to make a direct, meaningful impact in the lives of people working toward housing stability in San Francisco County.

What You'll Do

• Conduct initial consultations with prospective residents and assess eligibility for our housing programs
• Prepare and explain lease agreements, ensuring residents understand their rights and responsibilities
• Coordinate move-in logistics, including unit inspections, property orientation, and documentation
• Manage unit transitions, relocations, and property maintenance coordination
• Serve as the key liaison between residents, property management, and the supportive services team
• Maintain organized records and complete all necessary leasing documentation accurately and on time
• Support residents through challenges, connecting them with additional resources as needed

What We're Looking For

• Experience in property management, leasing, resident services, or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and empathy for people experiencing housing instability
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
• Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software platforms
• Flexibility and problem-solving mindset to navigate complex situations
• Commitment to Abode's mission of ending homelessness in the Bay Area
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training a plus
